From there, the imagery is revealed and reshaped through stencil work — sometimes painted around, sometimes filled within. This is the first time I’ve merged these methods into a single workflow, allowing me to build more depth at a much faster pace than my previous abstract process.
Coming from years of oil painting, acrylic has forced me to rethink everything — tools, timing, breath, and surface. Acrylic can be unforgiving. But when the right techniques come together, the result feels electric.
This work is both evolution and home.
